A Business of the Month is chosen at each Monthly Membership Meeting held in Sherwood at Sherwood Forest, 1111 West Maryland, on the first Thursday of each Month. To be chosen as the business of the month your business must be a valid member of the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce and a representative of your company must be present at the meeting.

Dr. Calhoun has been in practice for 16 years. He has
been here in NLR since 2004. He specializes in surgery of the brain,
spinal cord and peripheral nerves. He focuses on being on the cutting
edge of advancements in his field. He is most known for performing
surgeries utilizing a minimally invasive approach. This means quicker
recovery and better outcomes.
Dr. Calhoun's practice is family oriented. He and his wife work very
hard in the community. Educational seminars are important to this
team. To educate people on disease processes, preventive care and other
options gives the person a sense of control in their life. Also, they
support through sponsorships such as: softball teams, disabled veterans
fishing derby, host site for Miss Arkansas prep interview. Most
importantly, allowing students to shadow in the field of neurosurgery.
Promoting higher education is valuable to them, seeing young faces learn
and get excited about their future.
He is a great Neurosurgeon, but also he and his staff are great
community members and proud to be a part of the Chamber.
